From pension participation to retirement readiness – How better support can improve outcomes

Our latest research among 2,000 UK employees with defined contribution pensions explores the challenges they face, from retirement affordability and low engagement to pension fragmentation and gaps in retirement planning.

Key findings include:

  • 38% fear they may never retire due to cost-of-living pressures
  • 39% of those aged 55+ do not have a clear retirement income goal
  • 30% say they feel unsupported

With increasing focus on member outcomes and retirement support, the findings highlight the importance of helping people engage with their pensions, understand their options and make informed decisions.
